ESLC PLAYER AND PARENT ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND AGREEMENT ON PARTICIPATION IN ESLC ACTIVITIES

Expectations: It is expected that ESLC players will attend all scheduled practices, scrimmages, and tournaments. All ESLC players and their families are required to sign this acknowledgment and agree to ESLC’s policies, procedures, and the consequences of non compliance prior to being added to an ESLC team’s roster.

Player Absences: There are very few acceptable reasons for absences from ESLC activities. In the event that a player will miss a practice, scrimmage or tournament, she and/or her parents must make every effort to notify her coaches at least 7 days in advance of missing a practice or scrimmage and at least 30 days in advance for missing a tournament.

Examples of an excused absence might include:

  • ●  Attending the wedding, funeral or college graduation of a close family member;

  • ●  Attending a significant religious event;

  • ●  Attending a mandatory high school activity;

  • ●  Participating as a player in one’s high school athletic events;

  • ●  An unexpected work related obligation which, if not fulfilled, could result in

    the player’s loss of summer employment.

    Examples of unexcused absences might include:

  • ●  Going on vacation;

  • ●  Going to a concert;

  • ●  An avoidable work related obligation.

    Consequences: A player who does not fulfill this commitment will jeopardize her participation in ESLC, her position on the team, and will face at a minimum, restricted and/or reduced playing time in the next tournament.
